Hilit Maniv is a bay area based Flamenco dancer/choreographer/instructor. Her dance training includes both modern and Flamenco dance in her native Israel and continued with master Flamenco classes in Spain with such artists as Paco Romero, Eli "La Truco", Antonio Reyes, Manolo Marin, and Juana Amaya, among others. She established the Solo Flamenco Dance School in Haifa, which quickly became one of the largest flamenco dance schools in northern Israel.
For the past few years Hilit lives in California, dances regularly as a featured soloist in the Bay Area's premier venues such as: Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, The Palace of Fine Arts, Cowell Theatre and the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, along side amazing artists such as La Tania, Fanny Ara, Sol Flamenco Dance company to name a few.
Hilit is currently the artistic director of "Sephardic Flamenco Fusion", a collaboration of Flamenco and Sephardic music, co-directing "Mi Alma Flamenca", a tablao style performance that hosts some of the bay area's best Flamenco artists.
Hilit continues performing, creating and teaching Flamenco meanwhile seeking movement/expressive arts therapy certification with the Tamalpa Institute and dancing with Anna Halperin with the "Deeper Lab" dancers -an expressive improv movement based art.
