Hilit started her dance career as a modern/ contemporary dancer with various companies in Israel.
After discovering flamenco Hilit studied with Silvia Baro and Neta Sheyzaf, 2 of the leading dancers in Israel at the time.
Hilit advanced fast and started performing as a soloist and choreographer with the Ethnic Flamenco group "Shunar".
Alongside she danced with the "Haifa's dance association company" where she worked with some of the best modern choreographers from Israel and abroad.
Hilit participated in many projects working in cooperation with artists of different disciplines (Ethnic and Jazz musicians, Theatre actors and more).
After several years of dancing Flamenco she traveled to Spain to polish her dance skills and style. She studied in the best academies with some of the best teachers: Paco Romero, Eli "La Truco", Antonio Reyes, La tacha and others at the "Amor De Dios" Academy - Madrid, Manolo Marin, Juana Amaya, Alicia Marquez at Seville, and many more...
In 2003, upon her return to Israel she started teaching Flamenco at “The Jerusalem Dance Theatre”. Then Hilit joined the “Kibbutzim College of Education” where she completed her first degree in Education and Dance Teaching certificate. While studying she established the "Cinco Palmas Flamenco ensemble”, performed as a leading dancer and choreographer.
In 2007, Hilit joined Shiri Vild's company "Ritmo" for the successful show "Entre Alegria y Pena" which performed across Israel.
Hilit's flamenco classes around Haifa extended into “Hilit Maniv- Flamenco Dance School”, which became one of the largest schools in northern Israel.
Hilit moved to San Francisco in 2009 seeking a dream of a Flamenco community dancing and working together, creating traditional Flamenco with a hint of a modern flare. Since then Hilit became a well-known dancer and choreographer. She danced in the Bay Area's best venues with flamenco's premiere artists, such as: “Caminos Flamencos” - in the show “canciones 2”(2010) , “Fanny Ara” as a soloist dancer in her latest show “Un Paso Adelante”(2011), “Misión Flamenca” as a soloist guest artist in San Francisco, “Flamenco del Oro” as a soloist guest artist in Sacramento, Grass valley, Nevada city, “Hassa Flamenco and ”Matiz Flamenco” as a leading dancer of the troupes, and many more…
